Peace Center Open House
The
Peace Education and Action Center held its Open House on Sunday, August
12th at the Friends Meetinghouse. VegSarasota co-sponsored the event
(www.vegsarasota.com). We also collaborated with The SalOm Project and
the Open House served as a reception following the second performance
of SalOm at the Backlot. People got to mix and mingle and share
wonderful food prepared with love. Thank you to everyone who came out
to celebrate the opening of the PEACenter in Sarasota.

I have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with the number and variety of folks who came out for our Open House event in August. With right around 100 participants, I feel that is a testament to the fact that there is certainly a movement for peace right here in our own backyard and that people are hungry for opportunities to come together to celebrate peaceful ways of existence. I look forward to the other events that will follow!
